Who invented ice pops?

The ice pop as we know it today was invented by an American company, Pop-Ice, in 1963. It was later acquired by its current parent company Jel Sert in 1969. Hence, they are called "Freezies" in America. Skippi Ice Pops, India's First ice pop brand is made with 100% RO water, natural colour and flavours. Skippi Ice Pops was also the first product on Shark Tank India to receive investment from all 6 sharks. Pretty sweet deal indeed!

Who made the first popsicle

Popsicles are known all over the globe with different kinds of names. It's known as popsicles in Canada and Ice Pops in the United States. In the UK, it's known as Ice Lollies, Ice Candy in India and Japan, Paleta in Mexico, etc. However, the dessert was 'accidentally' invented in the US by a young boy in the year 1905.

Frank Epperson, an 11-year-old boy, left a glass of powdered lemonade soda with its mixing stick in it out in the cold one day. The next day it froze, and the whole thing came out with the stick, thus creating the first Ice Popsicle. He later patented this in 1923 and patented all such creations that are of ice popsicles and lollipops to his name by the next year. He later sold the rights of his invention to the Popsicle Company, which continues to be a big producer of popsicles in the US even today.
